The Femdom Hunt VI has started!

Everyone who looks forward of walking with high heels over Antony's bare butt again: rejoice - the Femdom Hunt VI is on!

Apart from the trampling aspect (which might have escalated a little in earlier hunts), there are also cool gifts to grab (that's even what the hunt is officially about!) and new places to explore.

This hunt is a quite special one for Emma and me btw. we are currently re-branding Sunshine Technology into S & em. So if you couldn't find us yet on the list of hunt locations: we are there and you will get a literally captivating gift with our new (and highly elegant) logo!

New logo and hunt gift in one frame!

Like it? Come and grab it at our store: S & em (Hunt Location #11)

The Prometheus II Is here!

I know some of you have been waiting for this release quite a while - too long actually. But real-life had quite a word in that matter and while I'd have loved to see it released at a much earlier date, that was just not possible.

But the long waiting is now over and I can honestly say that the Prometheus-Class II is by far the best ship I ever built. While it shares the same basic layout the old Prometheus-Class has (including 3 decks, elevator and a segmented bridge section), the new ship makes much more use of its space and looks also much more streamlined - and yes: a little bit more aggressive too^^

I also gave it two optional engine variants. Steam engines and dieselpunk-inspired radial engines in the style of the 1930s - and I think they both look very good in it!

Oh and the best thing of all: there is a flyable version too!

Here some specifications:

Dimensions:

  • Length with landing strip retracted: 44.60 m
  • Length with landing strip extended: 68 m
  • Width: 30.10 m
  • Height: 16.50 m

Enough blablah - lets have some pictures. They say more than a thousand words anyway:

The Prometheus-Class II is now available on the Marketplace! I decided to put it on a promotional price for the first week - so better get it as long its cheap!^^

Sunglasses!

Spring is coming! And to encounter the increased level of sunlight by the stylish way, I have released fashionable steampunk Sunglasses.

Steampunk Flip-Lense Sunglasses. Made of certified mesh-wood to protect the rainforest!

As special feature they come with flip-lenses and six different lense colours. Yes, makes them look a little nerdy, but nerdy is the new cool! Especially if you are a steampunk!

The also come in Walnut...

...Ebony. The black & gold combination is lovely, isn't it?!

Also new in my store: Art Deco Fanlights: keeping you cool and illuminated, and this for just 1 Li!

Simple elegance: Art Deco Fanlights.

New Airship: Air Pirate Zeppelin!

While the scripting of the Prometheus was affected by RL schedules, I finished in the meanwhile the Air Pirate Zeppelin, the big brother of the miniature version I made for the Sinister Steampunk Hunt.

Steampunk Air Pirate Zeppelin!

It doesn't only looks stunning (thanks to materials effects), it is also very easy to fly, has a very reasonable prim-count and offers plenty of positions for Avatars. Take a look at the samples - the model is my lovely Emma Sunshine:

You can find the Air Pirate Zeppelin at the Marketplace or in my in-world store. I also have it on life-size-display at Mieville Twain.

And since Halloween is coming very soon, I also made a "Flying Dutchman" Mini:

Boo! Scary! A flying Dutchman Airship!

Cute, isn' it? Here is the Marketplace-link: Halloween Mini Zeppelin.

Happy Halloween! And I hope to have soon good news about the release of a certain other pretty large project. Fingers crossed that RL cooperates!

Edit:

I like Halloween Mini Zeppelin so much that I made a full-size version of it too - scary thing!

Ghost Pirate Zeppelin!

And here is the link to it!

Starting Monday - The Renaissance Hunt!

To hunt, or not to hunt - thats not really a question! Especially with this little gift I made:

I was told I look "so serious" on this picture.

I am always serious.

Actually, I was Shakespeare's ghostwriter. Really! He just objected the car-chases I wanted to add.

As you might have guessed by now the theme this year is "William Shakespeare". An opportunity to make more puns than you can shake a spear at - and to work yourself through 83 destinations!

 Here some facts in short:

Start: Sept 1
End: Sept 30
Starting location: The Renaissance Faire
Renaissance Hunt Blog: Click me!
Complete list of locations: Click me too!

See you there!

Edit: Whoops - I made a little mistake regarding the date. Sept 1 is not coming Sunday, its actually Monday! Too much excitement I guess ;-)

A Quick Absinthic Update...

Since the recent additions (nicer seats and romantic lanterns) did so well, I added also a tray of exclusive (and very yummy) Drow Absinthe for the enjoyment of the passengers.
The tray includes everything you need for the classical french absinthe ritual, as it was performed in the 19th century: A keg of cool water, sugar cubes and perforated-absinthe spoons.

Passengers of the Daedalus will certainly enjoy this lovely sight!

The tray - which of course gives a glass of Absinthe on click - is already available on the Marketplace and will of course be included with the Daedalus.

If you like to drink it at home and your living room is too small for an airship, the Absinthe is also available as stand-alone ;-)

More news about the Daedalus are coming soon - I have one or two things still up my sleeve!

If You Ever Wondered How I Make All The Cool Stuff...

...of course I render it all with my Steampunk Laptop!

Soon available at both my Marketplace- or inworld-stores!

New Product Releases: Mini Kestrel & Orrery Lamp!

After something to sit in and fly and look cool its something to put in your place and make it look (more) awesome!

First item is the miniature-version of the Kestrel. A only 3-prim slim little deco airplane and high priority target of excessive zooming actions - yes it's a 100% correct model of the big one!

Honey, I shrunk the... plane!

Oh and before I forget: the Mini is currently the Drow-Science-group gift (available in the notices) - but don't tell anyone ;-)

The next item is a decorative and animated Orrery Ceiling Lamp. Watching it is at least as addictive as watching a Lava Lamp - I can tell you!

The Orrery Ceiling Lamp - a lovely change from the usual chandeliers you find in the average steampunkish-place!

You can find these (and many more) items at your usual dealer of Drow coolness:

Classy Ballroom Mesh Update

Time for another batch of meshy meshness :-)

One of my favorite builds - the ballroom skybox got a mayor mesh overhaul. It has a significantly lower land impact and even got my Steampunk Gramophone added as bonus!

It is simply a lovely representative building ideal for dances, weddings, concerts exhibitions - and many more occasions I haven't thought of!

You can see a preview version at my Main Store

and of course buy it on the Marketplace.

...Tomorrow The World!

At least in small:

Simply global: Steampunk Mesh Globe

This lovely globe is my latest mesh creation. It has a classy, luxurious look, combined with a very healthy land impact of 1 prim.
Want something different? Maybe a globe projecting the Moon or the Mars? No problem - you can switch the sphere textures by a simple click!

As always you can get it

on the Markeptace

and

In-world

Mesh Update: Steampunk Orrery

I am proud to announce the release of another mesh-rework/refurbish/overhaul/director's cut:

The Steampunk Orrery

Its amazing how much you can put into as little as 5 prims - a whole solar system! Well kind of ;-)

As with the Gramophone, I also made differently coloured and textured variants - compatible to various shades of steampunk:

Floral Brass

Gold

Ebony

Wood

Red and Gold

All Orreries are available on the Marketplace, or at my Inworld store :-)

Achtung Zeppelin!

A good friend once compared me with an assembly line. Well I wouldn't got that far, but I'm surely prolific - here is something new again ;-)

I know this will disappoint you, but the last line is not negotiable :p

This cute little thing is actually a sideproject while working on a bigger version. Its nevertheless a fun idea to decorate your home with it - no matter if its sitting on a shelf or flying slow circles above your head ;-)

On patrol at the Drow Science Store.

Check it out!

Gramophone-Update: More Variants Released!

During the process of defining the appearance of the Gramophone I found that quite a few variants besides the standard Brass-version look actually too good to hide them in my inventory. Here is the current selection - oh and there may be some more planned :-)

Dark elegance: Gothic Silver.

A bit more vivid: Red and Gold.

In case the Brass-version is too bright for your taste - the Dark-variant!

The Gold-Variant comes with classy and visually very interesting gold-paneling.

While meshing I found also time to do some recording ;-)

The Sound of Mesh - New Gramophone Released!

It took me a while from realizing that meshes are the future in SL (which isn't really hard) to actually getting started with making them. Well making meshes is - compared to building in SL - utterly complex and demands a completely new kind of building (not speaking of making UV maps and baking textures on them), but the benefits are almost unlimited freedom in creating and manipulating shapes - something I could only dream of in SL ;-)

My first Mesh!

So instead of using tools to convert SL-prims and make them to meshes I took the high (and pretty tough) road of learning Blender.

After watching about 30 tutorials and more or less successful attempts to get used with the controls and the idea behind its UI (which did quite confuse me at first - again, SL is much simplier there), I felt ready to start a serious project.

There were of course some obstacles. And some "walls" I ran against, until I got used to its vices (and there are many), strenghts and limitations. But the result looks quite satisfying. Its been a steep learning curve but I can definitely say: its worth it :-)

The Gramophone shown as wireframe. Looks pretty cool, huh? ;-)

Additional to its great looks the Gramophone has a menu-operated radio script, animated handle and turntable and several access levels (group, owner public) - and weighs only 2 prims :-)

The plan for the next weeks and months is to piece by piece remaking my current products in blender and throwing some new products out too. I - for example - haven't made a zeppelin yet...

The Steampunk Mesh Gramophone is available on the Marketplace and inworld - stay tuned! More coming soon! :-)

New Drow-Science Store Opened!

Another step to world-domination: Drow Science has opened an outpost at Lionheart rentals!

This store is currently number three together with the one at Raylins Airdrome at Specter and one at the WW2 combat sim New World.

The goal of its design is not only to offer a decent display for my creations but also to make a good looking addition to the sim itself. A conventional design was considered first but then I did just let go and went for something organic and light and - pretty transparent ;-)

Feel free to check it out - your taxi is waiting here. Oh and I recommend having a look at the rest of Lionheart too. It is a lovely place to live at!
